For many residents, the final Green Bin collection of the year has already taken place. The next Green Bin collection cycle will be in the new year when Labour's £40 Green Bin Tax will apply.
But with so much damage to trees and hedges from Storm Arwen, local Conservatives have suggested a further Green Bin collection to help local residents. This will help keep communities tidy and mean residents won't have to make extra visits to the tip.
The Labour-run Council has said no to this request.
A spokesperson for Ellesmere Port & Neston Conservatives said:
"Time and time again, local residents feel like we have a Council working against us, not for us. After the significant storm damage from Storm Arwen, we made this modest proposal for the Council to help local residents. We're disappointed, but not surprised, by Labour's negative response."
