Following the announcement that the number 22 bus will no longer run directly from Neston to Arrowe Park Hospital, Neston Conservatives have sent the following letter to Stagecoach. You can add your name to it below.
Dear Martin Griffiths, Chief Executive of Stagecoach Group:
Good, reliable transport connections are essential for the people of Neston. They are all the more important when connecting us to key public services, including hospitals. This is why we, along with many local residents, are very disappointed by Stagecoach's recent announcement that the number 22 bus, which connects Neston to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral, will no longer service the hospital.
We believe that a direct service to the hospital should be maintained. However, if the service cannot be maintained, we are calling on Stagecoach to confirm that:
- The cost of travelling to Arrowe Park Hospital from Neston will not increase
- The journey time from Neston to Arrowe Park Hospital will not significantly increase
- The changes to the timetable will be effectively communicated to all local residents, especially those who rely on the service
Confirmation in writing of your next steps would be appreciated. A copy of this letter will be put in the public domain and local residents from the Neston area invited to add their signature to it.
