Steve Wastell, your Conservative candidate for Little Neston & Ness, has written the below letter to local residents.
Dear resident,
I’m Steve Wastell. I’m a local resident who cares passionately about the future of Little Neston and Ness and wants to see the best for our area. That’s why I’ve put myself forward to be your Councillor.
I recently wrote to thousands of people across Little Neston and Ness to find out which issues matter most to you. With hundreds of responses in, a picture of widespread frustration with the Council among local residents was clear.
For example, many residents share my frustration that Council Tax has gone up by 40% since Labour took charge eight years ago, along with the introduction of a new Green Bin Tax. I’m determined to end these maximum Council Tax rises and scrap the Green Bin Tax.
Frustration at sky-high Council Tax is made worse by the way our community here is crying out for investment. Just look at our roads and pavements. As your Councillor, I’ll support Conservative plans to invest an extra £1.5 million in highways maintenance.
I’m proud to live in this lovely area. But it won’t remain a great place to live, work and raise a family if we carry on as we are. Because for too long Labour have failed to listen to local communities about issues that concern them.
I want to change that. I believe residents across Little Neston and Ness do, too. That’s why I’m asking for your vote on May 4th.
Yours sincerely,
Steve Wastell
