Ellesmere Port & Neston Conservative Association have made the following statement, following reports of a fire on Parkgate marshes:
"We are deeply concerned by scenes of fire on the marshes in Parkgate.
"Please keep safe by avoiding the area and allow emergency services to respond.
"Thank you to everyone from the fire service and other emergency services who is helping to tackle the blaze."
