Labour's unpopular Waste Strategy and Green Bin Tax was forced through at a Council meeting earlier this week.
Your local Conservatives voted against the proposals, including for a £40 per year Green Bin Tax.
A spokesperson for Ellesmere Port & Neston Conservatives said:
"Thank you to everyone who completed our waste survey earlier this month. Surveys from across West Cheshire show there is overwhelming opposition to Labour's plans for a Green Bin Tax.
"Local residents could count on their local Conservatives to oppose these damaging plans. But it's clear that Labour was not in the mood for listening.
"Cheshire West Labour is the same old Labour – no fresh ideas, just higher taxes and reduced services. We will continue to campaign for a better alternative for local residents."
