Labour's flawed 'Waste Strategy' strikes again.
After bringing in the Green Bin Tax on local residents, the Council will now implement charges at each of the ‘Household Waste and Recycling Centres’ across the borough for household DIY/construction materials.
The charges will come in from 1 April 2022.
In 2021 there was an 18% increase in flytipping across Cheshire West and Chester.
That year alone the cost to the council was over £347,000.
Does anybody seriously think this won’t result in even more flytipping locally?
