Cllr Myles Hogg continues to work hard for residents throughout Willaston, Hooton, Childer Thornton and Burton on a range of issues, from protecting the green belt to improving road safety.
The protection of the green belt has remained a key priority for Myles. In recent months, he has opposed the building of a Crematorium off Hooton Road as well as numerous inappropriate applications for domestic development throughout the ward.
Myles said: “There is a danger that villages will be joined together and urbanised if creeping developments are allowed to take place. I will do my best to prevent that from happening.”
Another priority for Myles as your local Councillor is the improvement of road safety throughout the ward by reducing the speed of traffic through our villages.
Myles said: “I am working proactively with the police and highways officers to see what can be done to slow through traffic down and to improve road safety throughout the area. No one solution will be appropriate in every location but speed cameras, warning signs and more police enforcement measures can all help.”
Pedestrian safety is also a growing problem which Myles is addressing by improving the current state of many of our pavements, especially those on busy roads. Myles is determined that there will be more investment in our pavements and roads.
